TaxCalc Software. . .
Download
and install this software that can be used to find what effect
the March 22nd Bond Issue will have on you personally. Following are
instructions for download and installation of the software:
If
you have the Winzip software installed on your machine. . .
- Once you
have read and/or printed these instructions, click
here to download the zipped (compressed) file.
- Once the download
box comes up asking whether you want to open or save the file, choose
save.
- Next, the save box
will come up asking you where you would like the file saved. Click
on the down triangle at the end of the Save in: box
near the top and choose Desktop from the drop down
list then click ok.
- When the file is
finished downloading, close the download dialogue box, and you will
now see the file TaxCalc zip icon on your desktop.
- Double click on
the icon TaxCalc. This will start the winzip program,
allowing you to unpack the software. Choose "I agree" to the license
agreement, and then choose "unzip or install from zip" and click
OK.
- The next screen
will ask you where you want the files unzipped and stored, take
note of the location as you will need to navigate there later,
then click Unzip Now.
- Close
Winzip and navigate to the folder where the program was unzipped, open
the TaxCalc
folder, double click on the setup icon.
- Next the program
will start to install, a box will come up asking you if it should
continue the install to your computer's hard drive, click continue.
- At the next box,
it will ask you which program group to install to, leave it at the
default setting and click OK.
- Lastly, when the
install is complete, it will ask if you want an icon in the program
manager group, choose yes.
- You are finished,
you may now run the program. There is an uninstall icon in the program
folder to use to remove the program when you no longer need it.
If you do not
have Winzip installed on your computer, you may download a trial version for free
from www.winzip.com for 21 days. If you
have Windows XP winzip is not necessary, Windows XP will unzip the file for
