Greetings WPCS School Families, Staff, and Community!
As school districts all across our state and nation are currently contending with a variety of challenges, in White Pigeon Community Schools we are doing everything in our power to keep the focus on learning and positive growth experiences for our students.
We want the 2021-2022 school year to rank right up there with the best in our district’s rich history.
This said, protecting the health and safety of our students, families, and staff is a goal we take seriously.
Our Return to Learn Plan 2021-2022 is posted here and it is updated as necessary.
I’ve been in the field of education for 36 years, with 28 years here in WPCS in several capacities, as a teacher, coach, and assistant principal. I am entering my 8th year as district superintendent.
Despite the occasional detours due to COVID, I’m excited about the direction WPCS is headed and I couldn’t be more proud of our staff, school family, and the generous support we receive from our community.
Thanks to heartfelt belief that the education of our children is essential to ALL of our futures, everyone has stepped up time and time again through the years to make sure our district has remained a leader in instructional expertise, curriculum, quality programs, classroom environments, support services, safety & security, technology, and overall school facility infrastructure.
As you can see from this link to the St. Joseph ISD website, the pride we have in White Pigeon Community Schools is not misplaced.
Additionally, I am grateful to be a part of a broad school community which is so willing to extend outside of the traditional boundaries of education, to provide even greater support to our students and families via food and clothing distribution as well as social-emotional services.
The needs of EVERY LEARNER matters to us and the entire White Pigeon community – and this is why I can express with such confidence our 2021-2022 will be great!
School and community will work together to ensure this happens the way it always has.
We live up to our “Every Student – Every Day” motto.
Thank you for all you do for White Pigeon Community Schools.
