Beginning Band Kick-off-Clinic

  Next year's 6th grade band  students will meet in small classes in the high school band room (room 13) based on what instrument they will play. Classes will meet June 2-6 (M-F), June 9-13 (M-F), and June 16-20 (M-Th). Please enter the building through Door 2.

9:00 - 9:30 Flute

9:30 - 10:00 Clarinet

10:00 - 10:30 Alto Saxophone

10:30 - 11:00 Trumpet

11:00 - 11:30 Trombone/Baritone

11:30 - 12:00 Percussion

Students in summer school will meet  in the music room at Central Elementary (Room 2) from 12:05 to 12:30.

On Friday, June 20 we will all meet together as a full band for the first time at 12 noon.  Parents can come and see what we have learned.  There will be pizza, too!

Band Students Earn Honors

HS band students Luke Hinkson, Kaelyn George, Claire Lohse, Leighton DeGraff, Ava Keesling, and Elizabeth Martin for their selection for two state honors bands.  Luke and Kaelyn will be participating at Oakland University.  Claire, Leighton, Ava, and Elizabeth will be participating at University of Olivet.  

Congratulations to Zackary Wiley and Ashlynn George for being selected for the MSBOA Middle School Honors Band!  They performed in November along with over 90 band students from 26 area schools.  They were chosen for their individual musical skill, their director's recommendation, and their unique backgrounds. 

Fall Art Contest Winners Announced

Congratulations to the winners of our Fall Semester Art Contest. First place was Kaelynn George, second place was Ashlynn George and third place honors went to Aubrey Miller. 37 students were featured and works are already being collected for a spring show.
